CHRISFISH

Norway Lobster – Nephrops norvegicus

For decades, Chrisfish has supplied our customers with Norway lobsters purchased at our local fish auctions and handled direct landings of sustainable, MSC-certified trawlers to our warehouse in Frederikshavn.

The Norway lobster is fished all year round in the Kattegat, the Skagerrak, and the North Sea. Night fishing is most common in the summer, while fishing during daytime is preferred in winter.

‘The gold of Kattegat’ is highly valued, especially by our southern European customers, and with our investment in state-of-the-art production equipment, we can fulfil virtually all wishes regarding sizes and packages.

Our Norway lobsters are packed fresh or quick-frozen in nitrogen freezers. The latter method gives the thawed product a quality that is close to the original, both in terms of taste and appearance

PRODUCT RANGE

PACKAGING

We produce our frozen Norway lobsters in many different packages and versions – cardboard, environmentally friendly plastic or polystyrene – according to the customer’s wishes.

PRIVATE LABEL

The concept of private label is a rapidly growing business area, which almost all supermarket chains globally have incorporated into their business strategy. At Chrisfish we produce large batches of stock products as private label on behalf of both national and international retail and wholesale customers.

SALES CHANNELS

We serve our customers from our sales office in Frederikshavn. From early morning until late afternoon, our employees in Frederikshavn are in direct contact with the auctions, productions, and the hauliers who transport our goods.

In this way, we have our finger on the pulse, which allows us to quickly and efficiently plan and process orders placed by the customer at short notice.

We deliver fresh and frozen lobsters daily to mainly the southern European markets, as well as servicing our home market. With direct landings and purchases at the morning’s auctions, we meet our customers’ versatile wishes for packs, sizes and packaging.
